How payment works

The entire payment process happens inside WhatsApp. Text “pay” and follow the steps.

    Choose your plan — Standard or Premium.

    Choose your payment method — M-Pesa or card.

  3. 3

    For M-Pesa via STK push: provide your Safaricom number (can be different from your WhatsApp number — the number is stored and never asked again). A payment prompt is sent to your phone. You have 5 minutes to enter your PIN. If the prompt expires, text PAY to try again.

    For M-Pesa via Paybill: text SKIP when asked for your Safaricom number. Datamartics generates a unique 5-digit code. Pay to the Datamartics Paybill number using that code as the account number. The code is valid for 15 minutes. After it expires, text PAY for a new one.

    For card: receive a secure payment link. Complete payment on the page. The link expires in 30 minutes.

Payment confirmation arrives on WhatsApp as soon as the payment is matched. If you paid but did not receive confirmation, text “support” with your M-Pesa confirmation message. The support team will reconcile manually and activate your account.

M-Pesa STK push

Choose plan, provide your Safaricom number. A payment prompt goes directly to your phone. Enter your PIN and it is done. Your Safaricom number can be different from your WhatsApp number.

M-Pesa Paybill

Choose plan, text SKIP when asked for a number. Datamartics gives you a unique 5-digit code valid for 15 minutes. Pay to the Datamartics Paybill using that code as the account number.

Card

Choose card. Receive a secure checkout link valid for 30 minutes. Complete payment on the link and your account upgrades immediately.

Getting started

How do I start?

Scan the QR code or tap the link — it opens a WhatsApp conversation with Datamartics directly. Onboarding takes about two minutes and happens entirely in the chat.

Do I need a card to start?

No. Start on WhatsApp. Try it for 30 days with full premium access. No card required to start.

Can I track more than one business?

Yes. Standard supports 2 businesses, Premium supports 5. You can switch between them from the same number.

Can team members log for my business?

Yes, on Standard and Premium. Add members by texting "add member." Standard allows up to 2 members per business. Premium allows up to 5.

Reports

When does the weekly report arrive?

Every Friday evening.

What does the report include?

Total sales, total expenses, net earnings, best performing day, top products or services, a short narrative on what the numbers mean, and one recommendation based on your actual data.

What if I did not log much that week?

On the free plan, a minimum of 3 transactions is needed for the weekly report. Below that, you get a nudge to log more consistently. On Standard and Premium there is no minimum for on-demand reports.

Can I get a report any time?

On Standard, you can request up to 4 reports per billing period by texting "report." On Premium, you can request a report any time with no limit.

What is an on-demand report?

You text "report" and Datamartics generates one immediately — not waiting until Friday. Standard gives you 4 per billing period. Premium removes the limit.

What are category queries?

On Premium you can ask things like "show me all my expenses this month" or "what have I sold most this week" or "compare this month to last month" and get a direct answer. Free and Standard give you totals and summaries only.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes.

What happens when the trial ends?

You enter a 3-day grace period. During those 3 days you can upgrade to a paid plan and continue without interruption. If you do not, your account moves to the free plan automatically. Your data stays.

What if I miss a payment or my subscription expires?

Same process. You get a 3-day grace period with notifications. After that, you move to the free plan. Your data is never deleted for missed payments — only if you explicitly request account deletion.

How do I pay?

If I stop paying, do I lose my data?

No. You move to the free tier. Your data remains unless you explicitly ask for deletion.

Yes. The upgrade takes effect immediately.

Privacy and data

Who can see my transactions?

Only you. Every user's data is encrypted with a unique key. The AI processes your content without accessing your identity.

Is my data sold or shared?

No.

What happens if I delete my account?

All data is permanently deleted after a 7-day window. You can cancel the deletion at any point within those 7 days by texting "cancel." After 7 days, nothing can be recovered.

Does Datamartics connect to my M-Pesa or bank account?

No. Datamartics only uses what you send to the number.
